This policy explains how the developer KoyamaAtsushi (“we”) handles data in the Android app Meeting Notes: AI Transcribe (package com.koyama.meetingnotes, the “App”). It applies to this App only.
1. No personal data collected
The App needs no account and no sign-in. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or postal address, and we do not collect location data. We never sell data and never share it with data brokers.
2. Audio recordings
The App records audio through the device microphone, or imports an audio file you choose, for the sole purpose of turning it into text.
- The recording is sent to our server (Google Cloud) only for the duration of processing.
- The file is deleted from the server as soon as transcription finishes. We do not keep it.
- Recordings and transcripts are never used to train AI models or for any other purpose.
- The resulting text is stored locally on your device. Deleting the note in the App, or uninstalling the App, removes it.
For audio processing we use processors acting solely on our instructions: Google (Firebase, Vertex AI / Gemini), OpenAI and Soniox.
3. Anonymous identifier
To match an uploaded file with the server's reply, the App creates an anonymous technical identifier (Firebase Anonymous Authentication). It is not linked to any account or to your identity.
4. Diagnostics and stability
The App uses Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase to detect crashes and errors. This data is technical and aggregated (device model, OS version, crash event), does not identify you, and never contains your recordings or transcripts.
5. In-app purchases
The App offers paid features. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play. We never receive or store your card or payment details.
6. Permissions
- Microphone — to record the audio you want transcribed.
- Foreground service (microphone) — to keep recording while the screen is off or the App is in the background.
- File access — only for the file you explicitly pick for import.
- Notifications — recording status and task reminders.
7. Children
The App is intended for adults and is not directed at children.
8. Your rights
Because data stays on your device, you can delete it yourself at any time by removing the note or uninstalling the App. For questions, deletion requests or other GDPR rights, write to barcord.app@gmail.com. We reply within a reasonable time.
9. Changes
We will announce material changes by updating this page and the effective date above.
